What Happened

President Donald J. Trump launched America.gov, a digital portal designed by the National Design Studio and powered by Gemini and Grok models. The platform pulls information from 29,000 federal websites. The site currently answers questions and directs users to services, while applying for services comes in later phases, with the first tasks due later this year and phase two in early 2027.

Trump also signed an executive order directing GSA, the National Design Studio, and OMB to establish the portal and integrate Login.gov. Agencies must integrate public facing services serving over 100,000 annual users, excluding IRS tax filing and national security services.

Why It Matters

For prime contractors and contracting officers, agencies must update public facing workflows to integrate with the portal and Login.gov. Contractors should expect to deliver technical integration across covered programs.

What to Do Now

Contracting officers and agency teams should audit public facing services serving over 100,000 annual users before OMB guidance arrives. Technical leaders should align identity systems and workflows with central AI entry points.

WHERE XTAM FITS

Each of those services now has to work inside an AI front door. XTAM delivers secure, compliant service automation with mission-critical reliability built in.
